Mr. Kemp joins the firm as Of Counsel and will be heading up the firm’s Dalton office which opens July 1, 2005.

Born in Opelika, Alabama he received his A.B. and M.A from Emory University before receiving his law degree from the University of Chicago in 1959. He was a legal assistant for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals & the Supreme Court of Georgia in 1959 and 1960.

He is a member of the Conasauga Circuit and American Bar Associations; State Board of Georgia (Member, Board of Governors, 1963-1982); Lawyers Club of Atlanta; Georgia Defense Lawyers Association; National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel; Federation of Corporate and Insurance Counsel; Defense Research Institute; American College of Trial Lawyers; American Board of Trial Advocates.

He is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida, is a registered mediator and a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. His primary practice areas are insurance defense, professional malpractice, personal injury, and product liability.
