What To Expect Working With Me:I am happy to have our initial meeting either over the telephone or at my office, whatever is most convenient for you. Often, this is before any official court hearings and we use this as a chance for me to gather information about you, the story surrounding your arrest/charge, and then give you framework of what to expect and possible defenses or solutions. After we receive discovery (police reports, witness statements, lab reports, videos, etc.), we will meet again to thoroughly go over the evidence (or lack thereof) and put together a more tailored plan of action. Often times this entails filing pretrial motions (typically a motion to suppress) to challenge the admissibility of evidence. If after pretrial motion hearings we determine a trial is in your best interest, we will work with you to craft the best possible trial strategy. This typically involves learning your story and putting together our own evidence and witnesses. In the alternative, if we have reached an agreeable plea offer, we will work together to prep you for the plea and put together a proactive plan of action to put you in the best possible light when it comes time for sentencing.
Why I Do What I Do:I love what I do and am extremely fortunate to have found myself in this profession. Performing at my peak level to obtain exceptional results and provide a premium defense for my clients drives me every day. I wake up excited to get to court and help my clients on a daily basis. Whether it’s winning a suppression hearing or jury trial, or simply negotiating a deal that accomplishes my client’s goals, I leave feeling professionally and personally fulfilled. I couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling role than what I have on a daily basis.
Accomplishments:I pride myself on being in the courtroom on a daily basis. Rarely a week goes by without some type of evidentiary hearing or trial. I have tried over 40 cases and conducted well over 100 suppression hearings.NHTSA certified – I received my training from retired Colonel for the Idaho State Patrol, Bob LaPier.Completed ARIDE course in South Carolina (Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement).
