Thomas Moriarty began his legal career in 1988 as an associate with the law firm of Labelle & Labelle in Manchester, Connecticut. After four years of practice, Mr. Moriarty became a partner at the firm where he remained until 1996. In 1996, Mr. Moriarty opened his own practice with William H. Paetzold and the firm later added David F. Sherwood as a partner. Mr. Moriarty handles a wide variety of civil matters and civil litigation which include personal injury and automobile accident cases, commercial transactions, civil litigation and commercial and residential real estate matters. He is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Attorney Moriarty has served as a court appointed trustee pro bono, and as an attorney trial referee for the Connecticut Judicial Branch. Over his twenty nine years of practice, Attorney Moriarty has successfully and effectively represented many clients in motor vehicle accidents, product liability, slip & fall, and medical malpractice cases. He has also litigated a wide variety of other tort cases and numerous commercial breach of contract matters. Attorney Moriarty also has a very active practice representing businesses, developers, shopping center owners, and other clients in commercial real estate and leasing transactions. He has successfully negotiated large commercial leases on behalf of his clients with many national retail chains, including Home Depot, Staples, T.J. Maxx, Firestone/Bridge Stone, A & P, Shaw’s, Shop-Rite, Taco Bell, Tractor Supply Company, Chili’s, Chipolte’s, CVS, Sleepy’s Arby’s, LA Fitness Center, Autozone, Carrabba’s, Texas Roadhouse, to name a few.
