Description

As an aggressive, dedicated and compassionate Attorney with over 30 years of legal experience I believe that every client is entitled to the highest quality legal representation. I have an absolute commitment to do my best to provide quality service and to protect the rights of victims using the highest standard of professional integrity, decades of expertise and an unwavering devotion to my clients. My success is measured by the success of my clients. My legal expertise encompasses a full spectrum of areas of law including many different types of medical malpractice and negligence cases, all types of accidents matters, nursing home abuse and neglect issues and defective products that have caused catastrophic injuries and wrongful deaths. I represent those victims of wrongdoing and injuries in their claims against the powerful corporations of the world. My firm places a primary focus on helping people and their families that have been injured or killed as a result of the reckless, careless or negligent conduct of others. We deliver the personalized attention that every client needs and deserves. I represent those injured by the wrongful or negligence act of another so that they will not have to end up paying for the rest of their lives for that wrongdoer’s momentary carelessness with continuous pain, suffering and mental stress. By seeking fair compensation from the wrongdoer and his insurance company we obtain compensation for the loss of your ability to work and do your daily tasks, pay medical bills and related expenses and permanent and severe injuries that you have sustained. To achieve this my team will prepare your case with such strength that the opposition will know that we are absolutely serious. We believe in our clients and will see to it that you receive every cent you deserve. While it is unusual, it is possible that they still don’t see things our way. If that happens, we are ready to take the next step. We are ready to go into the courtroom to fight for the outcome that will help you move forward with your life. But it’s not all work … My wife and I have two children and (two dogs) and have been married for over 27 years. We enjoy reading, tennis, flying, chess, skin diving, scuba diving, skiing, cycling, boating, fishing, hiking and traveling just to name a few. Flying is a passion and I have been a licensed pilot since 1994 and I am also instrument rated. Currently, I have a Mooney Ovation that I fly for business and pleasure around the United States and surrounding areas. Over the years I have represented individuals that have been injured by defective products. The main reason I decided to pursue companies that put products on the market when they knew or should have known that they were dangerous and/or deadly was due largely to personal experience and knowing that such companies routinely commit fraud on the public. These companies are generally motivated by greed and do not care about the safety and welfare of the public. When I was just a boy my father was diagnosed with lung cancer from smoking cigarettes. He suffered terribly from this disease as he wasn’t able to breathe, walk, speak or function as he once knew. This was a man who immigrated to the United States from Europe with almost no money in his pockets and hardly any formal education. He saved enough money and opened his own grocery store and was very successful. He then built and operated a bowling alley and cafe. My father would work 12-14 hour days running the business and the bowling leagues. He loved the business and the customers he catered to. He tried to keep everything going until the cancer which was caused by tobacco took over and he was unable to work. We suffered as a family too, as my mother and I took turns taking care of my father as he deteriorated. Caring for him around the clock we fed, washed, took him to doctors and hospitals until he succumbed to the disease. My mother worked hard at running the bowling alley although she had always been a stay at home mom. Six months after my fathers death, my brother who was just 16 years old was killed by a drunk driver. My brother was only 11 months older than me and we were very close. The drunk driver had backed his flat bed trailer truck into the road late at night and had his headlights off. The car my brother was a passenger in collided with the truck, sending my brother through the windshield. My brother whose injuries were so severe died within a few hours. The driver died several days later. The third boy was so anguished by the wreck and the loss of his friends that he has been receiving treatment for the accident and the effect that it has had on him ever since. These senseless tragedies are what compelled me to be a lawyer and to represent innocent victims of dangerous products and tragic accidents. Eventually I joined the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii. After my service I returned home to help my mother run the bowling alley business and also enrolled in College. It was a good decision as my philosophy classes really challenged me intellectually and I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor degree from Michigan State University and a major in Philosophy. I then went on the graduate from Syracuse Law School in New York with my Juris Doctorate. While in Law School I was chosen to intern and was employed at some of the most prestigious malpractice law firms in New York. After Law School I considered firms around the country but decided on a firm in Fort Myers, Florida. This law firm was the oldest firm in the county and the weather was sunny and warm. I then went on to become the first in-house City Attorney for the City of Cape Coral and eventually decided that I wanted to go back into private practice. Over the past 30 years I have practiced in the fields of Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect, Product Liability, Real Estate, Business, Civil Rights, Condemnation, and Litigation. Having maintained my own firm since 1991, I continue to specialize in Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Product Liability and other cases ranging from Birth Injuries to Death Cases. As a Trial Lawyer I represent plaintiffs and injured victims in civil lawsuits in State and Federal Courts. I believe that it is important to stay active in the community and over the years I have been involved in numerous Civic and Fraternal Organizations, Legal Associations, Bar Associations, Chamber(s) of Commerce, Sports Organizations and Flying Organizations. With this experience I have obtained outstanding results for our clients in all types of serious personal injury and wrongful death cases such as: car accidents; bicycle accidents; pedestrian accidents; nursing homes injuries; construction accidents; property accidents; medical accidents; dangerous and defective product cases; defective medical devices and dangerous drugs. For cases in which the firm focuses its practice please visit our Practice Areas page.In addition to broad litigation experience, I have extensive experience negotiating settlements on behalf of clients. I have obtained six and seven figure results for my clients through settlements, judgments or verdicts. Serving clients throughout Florida and Washington D.C., my firm strives to always do our best for our clients. When necessary I can travel to meet with clients in other areas throughout the country. If we are unable to assist you or feel that another firm may be better suited to help you, we may research firms to find the best attorney for your needs.
