MICHAEL S. ROBINSON joined Kalijarvi, Chuzi, Newman & Fitch, P.C. on October 1, 2018. He represents employees and unions in federal and private-sector labor and employment litigation.

Before joining KCNF, Mr. Robinson was an associate at Schwerin Campbell Barnard Iglitzin & Lavitt, LLP in Seattle, Washington, where he represented public and private-sector unions and employees in labor and employment litigation. Mr. Robinson has represented and advised public and private-sector unions during organizing campaigns, collective bargaining negotiations, strikes, internal elections, campaign finance matters, public records litigation, and legislative campaigns.

Mr. Robinson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A. 2007) and the Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., magna cum laude, 2014). He received the 2014 John F. Kennedy Labor Law Award, 2014 ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in Labor and Employment Law, and CALI Awards in Evidence and Labor Law.

During law school, Mr. Robinson worked as a law clerk at the Employment Justice Center in Washington, DC. He also represented a low-income housing cooperative as a student attorney at Georgetown’s Harrison Institute Housing & Development Clinic, represented tenants facing eviction and homeowners challenging foreclosure actions as a student attorney at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, and worked as a law clerk for Pro Acceso, a non-profit organization in Santiago, Chile specializing in litigation promoting government transparency.
