Immediately following law school, Ms. Wagner began her legal career as an assistant district attorney in the King’s County District Attorney’s Office. In her assignment to the Appeals Bureau, Ms. Wagner drafted and argued briefs before the Appellate Division and provided legal research. Prior to her appellate work, Ms. Wagner had been assigned to the Domestic Violence Bureau where she handled pretrial motions, discovery, and pretrial and evidence hearings, as well as interviewed witnesses, drafted complaints, and negotiated plea offers. Additionally, Ms. Wagner was responsible for supervising and advising officers of the NYPD with respect to their pre-trial preparation.

During law school, Ms. Wagner interned for both the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New York and the Honorable Alfred H. Kleiman, New York County Supreme Court, prior to an internship with the legal department of the Internal Revenue Service. Ms. Wagner was also a research assistant at Columbia University School of Law’s Legislative Drafting Research Fund, where she assisted with research on The Human Genome Project.

Ms. Wagner believes not only in helping her clients achieve their stated goals but also in giving back to her community and served as an elected representative of the Essex County Democratic Committee. She likewise volunteers her time to the Rachel Coalition, an organization dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence.
